Desolate pleasantness
Evolution resolution
I am the end of everything
And yet it’s all you know

Life depends on death
Control, ballast
A cycle: endless
Construction / destruction

We’re lucky, you know
That life has blessed us
Given itself to us
To have and to hold
'Til death comes again (and we part)

This is just a test
How will we hold up
Take care of what we’re given
The gift of life
In the hands of thankless mortals
